Volunteering Opportunities

 

We are always looking for like minded people who love to spend time doing meaningful things in nature.  There is always plenty to do in our peaceful private woodland, and you can choose from two different roles; helping children and adults connect with nature by volunteering with one of our groups, or by joining a volunteer work day to get involved in woodland or site management.

Our site is just by the airport on Blackhills Lane, Near Killay- Swansea.

What's Needed

 

Working with Children and Adults

Necessary

• An up to date enhanced DBS check or willingness to have one before starting work with us

• Qualified first aider or be willing to complete a course whilst working with GWW

• A love of the outdoors and nature

Desirable

• Experience working with children

• Experience with outdoor pedagogies
   

Woodland and Site Management

Necessary

• A love of the outdoors and nature

Desirable

• Knowledge of wildlife or nature conservation, ecology or woodland management 

• Experience working with tools

• Chainsaw license
